It goes without saying that the better the snow conditions, the better the skiing. But finding the best powder can be difficult. OpenSnow is an app that enables you to compare weather forecasts, snow reports, and trail conditions across different resorts and ski locations. Unlike other weather apps, OpenSnow taps local meteorology experts to get regional snow and weather data. OpenSnow also offers a bunch of other cool features like storm tracking, avalanche forecasting, offline trail and terrain maps, and snowpack graphs.
(Unfortunately, OpenSnow is not free: it's $31.99 per year for a single account, or you can share a group account with three friends for $49.99 per year. The good news is that 1% of OpenSnow sales is donated to projects that remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere!)
